Privacy Policy – Spindog

Start playing

This privacy policy applies to Spindog – the independent review portal you're reading now – not to the casino operator itself. We explain what personal data spin-dog.nl collects, how we process it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How this site remembers you

When you visit spin-dog.nl, we collect limited technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type, device details, and pages viewed. This happens through standard web server logs and analytics scripts – the same basic data almost every website gathers to understand how visitors use it.

If you fill in our contact form, we collect whatever you choose to share: typically an email address and the content of your message. We store that only as long as needed to respond to your query, then delete it.

The analytics question

We use third-party analytics services to track visitor behaviour on this site – which pages get read, where users come from, and how long they stay. These tools set cookies and may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control those scripts once they run, and we recommend reading the privacy notices of Google Analytics or any similar service if you want the full picture of how they handle data.

Analytics help us understand what content is useful and where the site falls short. The trade-off is that third parties see anonymised visit patterns – not your name or email, but technical identifiers tied to your session.

Scripts we do not control

Affiliate tracking pixels and advertising networks may also place cookies when you visit spin-dog.nl. These belong to third parties, and we have no access to the data they collect. Their purpose is to attribute clicks and conversions – if you follow a link from here to an operator's site and sign up there, the affiliate network records that journey so we receive credit for the referral.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. The only sharing that happens is what's inherent in hosting (our server provider sees the same server logs we do) and in using analytics or advertising platforms.

Lawful basis for processing

We process technical data and analytics under our legitimate interest in running an informational website and understanding its audience. Contact-form submissions are processed based on your consent – you chose to send us a message.

Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected] and asking us to delete your message. That withdrawal does not affect any processing we completed before you asked.

Your options

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data in certain circumstances (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing – ask us to hold data but not actively use it
  • Data portability – receive a copy of your data in a structured format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Retention

Server logs and analytics data are typically retained for 12–24 months, then deleted. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as the conversation is active – usually a few days to a few weeks – then removed from our inbox and backup systems.

We do not hold long-term archives of visitor data. Once it has served its purpose, it goes.

Minors

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact [email protected] immediately and we will delete it.

Revisions

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in legal requirements. When we do, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for a reasonable period.

For questions about this policy or your data, reach us at [email protected].
